Whether you are an avid angler or have never fished before, with a trip on the Freedom Charter fishing boat, no experience is necessary.  What a great way to create memories that will last a lifetime!

While on board the Lake Michigan Charter fishing boat, Freedom, you can run 7 to 15 lines in the water at a time.  If we do not put the lines in the water, you cannot catch any fish!  You will have the opportunity to catch Coho Salmon, Chinook (King) Salmon, Rainbow Trout (steelhead), Brown Trout, and Lake Trout.


Captain James, with his 30+ years of experience, knows the most important factors for a most successful fishing trip.

Fishing just isn’t that much fun if you’re not catching any fish!  By focusing on reef areas, your chances of catching a lot of fish increases!

3. Equipment.  The Freedom Charter fishing boat is equipped with state-of-the-art sonar, Marine radios and GPS (global positioning systems).  To ensure a safe trip, Freedom is regularly inspected by the U.S. Coast Guard.

Every Year more Records are Broken as Fish continually grow larger. Most fish average between 5 and 12 pounds, But 20 Pounders are not Uncommon. Many fish taken this year will go well over 30 Pounds.
